About Coy Lim

Coy Lim is a composer, pianist, and vocalist with a four-octave range (and some change), currently located in Denver, CO. While she began performing at a young age, she honed her natural ability and perfect pitch at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. During this time, she performed as a soloist in the university’s most prestigious ensembles under the tutelage of Dr. Eric Richards, Dr. Kurt Knecht, and Dr. Damon Thomas Lee.

Outside of the university, Coy also studied with the renowned composer-in-residence of the Houston Symphony, Dr. Gabriela Lena-Frank. Coy’s foundations in traditional vocal and piano technique, as well as jazz theory, have allowed her to excel in a variety of genres as a working composer and performer.

She is the creative nexus, lead singer, and pianist at the center of Jade Oracle Music, a rotating cast of some of the best musicians in Denver.

Her debut EP, “Mirror, Mirror”, dropped in August 2022;  a spellbinding showcase of Coy’s signature witch-jazz aesthetic. You can catch her siren song weekly at all of Denver’s favorite funk joints.
